The Vipingo Village Fund Golf Weekend.
As part of our engagement with local communities, JWS continues to identify and support worthy causes around the country.
On 14 December 2019, JWS co-sponsored The Vipingo Village Fund Golf Weekend at the challenging Vipingo Ridge Golf course, Kilifi. The event was the first ever fund raiser for the Vipingo Village Fund and was a runaway success.
Guests participated in both a putting competition on the preceding Friday 13th, and on the 14th an 18-hole golf competition, plus a gala dinner & dance at the exquisite venue overlooking the Indian ocean.
The Future Hope Montessori School run by Tim Williams and Carol Harding has been transforming lives for the young pupils of Vipingo village many of whom have never travelled outside their immediate neighbourhoods and could not speak English. They can now look forward to assimilation into the national schools in Kenya and have developed a command of the English language that is the envy of their kith and kin. The future looks bright for these orphaned children and JWS is delighted to be a part of their success story.
We join the Vipingo Ridge residents in promoting the social economic wellbeing of the local community and stand ready to explore future possibilities.
Long live the Vipingo village fund!
