Important Update: Changes in International Health Insurance

Many of you will have heard that The Exeter has taken the decision to withdraw all overseas medical insurance policies. This is a global move, not limited to Kenya, and unfortunately it leaves many members – especially older clients and those with ongoing health conditions – in a very challenging position.

At JW Seagon, our first priority is to our customers. We are working tirelessly to make sure no client is left without the protection and peace of mind they deserve. Here’s how we’ve responded so far:

  • Met clients face-to-face in Nairobi and at the Coast to provide direct support.
  • Engaged with The Exeter’s management and legal team to ensure our clients’ voices are heard.
  • Raised concerns with UK industry bodies to push for fair treatment.
  • Guided clients through the complaints process so that every case is handled properly.
  • Explored alternative cover options with other leading insurers, including AXA.

As an independent broker, we are not tied to any single provider. This means our healthcare team can search the whole market – both international and local – to find the best possible solution for every client affected.

Our commitment is simple: to stand by our Exeter clients through this difficult transition
