JWS Aviation Insurance has landed!
We are delighted to inform you that we have set up a new specialist aviation insurance brokerage in the form of JWS Aviation. JWS Aviation forms part of the JW Seagon Group and will be operating out of our London offices, so as to be close to the underwriting markets.
Andrew Sommerville – Managing Director:
Our new Managing Director, Andrew Sommerville, has been specialising in the international aviation market for almost 40 years as a Broker, Underwriter and Technician, and in recent years has held posts as Managing Director and Chairman of three Lloyds of London Insurance Brokers. He is an experienced speaker at international aviation industry seminars and has been instrumental in the formation of contractual and advisory teams for some of the largest aviation insurance brokers in the World. His clients include a long list of ‘who’s who’ in the Airline industry, but he also feels at home advising on and arranging coverage for smaller commercial operators and private aircraft owners insuring all types of Aircraft.
Benefits for JW Seagon Clients:
Due to his experience, capability and market presence Andrew brings with him exclusive placing facilities offering preferential rates which are only available to JWS Aviation clients. This new and unique service will be supported by our dedicated Client Relationship Management team, and you can expect the usual exemplary JW Seagon standards of customer service.
As part of our regulatory compliance and to obtain Lloyds Broker status, we have partnered with ES Risks Ltd in London who are owned by Aston Lark Ltd, a top 5 Broker in the UK, placing in excess of £1bn of premium in the market. Other than giving us access to the Lloyds Market, it also provides us with UK and European licensing facilities, meaning, wherever you are, we should be able to assist.
So, with immediate effect, we are here to assist all our existing aviation clients, and we will be happy to advise and quote on any new enquiries. Enquiries can be filtered through your usual contacts, and it is likely that Andrew will contact you directly, liaising with the internal teams for the administration and paperwork. Andrew will be visiting the region towards the end of January, so we hope you can make time to see him and discuss your insurance requirements directly with him.
