Exciting new appointment to the JW Seagon team.

The JW Seagon Group has today announced the appointment of David Nolan, joining its JW Seagon Insurance Brokers Kenya Limited business (JWS IB(K)) and will be responsible for driving its new business strategy focussing on commercial and specialty risks. Mr Nolan will be based in Kenya, with regional responsibility and joins the business on 8th April 2024. He will report in Jeremy Clayton, CEO, JWS IB (K).

The appointment of Mr Nolan is a critical step in the on-going transformational agenda of the Group and supports its ambition to drive sustainable and profitable growth through unlocking sectors that deliver high- growth adjacencies to its core offering.

David, originally from Ireland, has lived and worked in East Africa for over twelve years. He has an excellent understanding of the East African risk and insurance landscape: the trends, the challenges and the ever-changing regulatory environment. As an insurance broker in that time, his focus has primarily been in areas of speciality risks. He has worked with major Gold and Diamond mining operations, all manner of Aviation risks, large construction and infrastructure works projects and a host of other risks spanning several sectors. David is passionate about developing a better understanding of insurance amongst buyers of insurance as well developing insurance capacities, both technical and financial, within East African insurance markets. He is married with three children and is an ardent sportsman, particularly with regards to rugby, a game he has actively promoted in both Kenya and Tanzania over the years.
