J W Seagon and Co was established in United Kingdom in 1983. In 1993 it was felt an overseas office should be opened to provide on the spot service and advice to an ever-increasing client base and at that time a Kenyan company was incorporated. The company now employs 19 full time staff at their offices in Nairobi to manage over 3500 clients who are resident in Africa.

J W Seagon and Co Ltd are totally Independent and are able to offer expert, impartial advice on all forms of Savings, Investments, Medical Covers and Protection Plans.

We have access to all Companies prepared to write business in this part of the world and have built up close relationships with Underwriters and Fund Managers over the Years. If you are involved in a Hazardous Pursuit or Occupation (Motor rallying, Hunting, Flying), or need a short term cover for the term of a loan, we will be able to place the Risk through our agencies in the Lloyds Market.

The Company is a small, approachable and friendly firm, which has been developed over the years by the family. Joe Seagon, who came to Kenya in 1958 with Norwich Union, has been responsible for bringing the company to where it is today. Joe has been in the insurance industry for 50 years representing many household name insurance companies. He was Managing Director for East Africa of The Clarkson Group before leaving the group in 1983 at which time he formed his own company.

David was born in Kenya. After overseas education, he returned in 1993 and joined the business when it was felt a properly incorporated Kenyan Company would serve the needs of our clients better. David spent 5 years with Norwich Union in UK, and has passed the relevant industry exams to enable him to advise our clients on their portfolios.

We moved to our new offices in June 2007 and we are pleased to include pictures which show the warm and friendly atmosphere.

Many people have visited these premises and all have expressed satisfaction with the improvements now available to members of the Public, and our Staff. The Offices are extremely well situated on Muthaiga road, just off the Muthaiga Roundabout, there is adequate parking, and a lovely ambience.

There is plenty of space to accommodate our ever increasing number of Staff who are dedicated to serving the needs of our expanding client base.
